Once again Gibber’s Work Experience Challenge proved a big success with 30 unemployed participants completing the course feeling motivated, confident and ready for the next step...

Having completed a series of employability workshops with Gibber the three teams visited 6 diverse employers across the North East and were presented with a team challenge at each. The employer marked the teams on punctuality, team work, presentation, a work based task and communication and at the end of the challenge everyone came together for a celebratory progression event held at the County Thistle Hotel in Newcastle.

The winning team received a free travel pass for Tyne & Wear and having won 4 out of the 6 challenges “The Heroes” were the proud winners.

Also in attendance at the event were providers and employers from across Newcastle who were able to offer advice and support to the participants on what to do next.

To offer continued support Gibber have set up a facebook group “Gibber WE Challenge” for participants to keep in touch and offer support to each other as well as providing links to the recruitment pages of the employers and providers involved.
