/ Multimedia

Gibber’s innovative way of combining live theatre and multi media has proved effective in appealing to different learning styles and reinforcing key learning objectives in a dynamic, multi sensory, tangible way.

Our performance set incorporates a back projected media screen which is used to ensure a multi sensory learning experience. Gibber have produced a number of broadcast quality films which are shown as part of the live performance. Our original dramatic films have been recognised by the Royal Television Society and short listed for the award of best production for a target audience.

The multi media screen can also be used to visually highlight key websites relevant to the target audience.

“Pupils seemed to enjoy the entire production – our students like visual things so this was great!”
Teacher, Tudhoe Grange School Durham

During our London LSC schools tour the multimedia screen was used to highlight relevant websites e.g. EMA, Connexions, Apprenticeships. Two bespoke films were produced to raise aspirations and present the legacy that the 2012 Games will bring to the young people of London.

While developing an alcohol misuse/anti-social behaviour road show Trashed for Newcastle DAAT, Gibber worked in consultation with:

/ Northumbria Police
/ Health Care Professionals
/ Schools Drug and Alcohol Advisors
/ School Health Advisors
/ Trading Standards lead on Licensing

to incorporate three bespoke films into the delivery model to highlight:

/ Police point of view - how drunk and disorderly behaviour impacts on
  the community.
/ Paramedic point of view - how personal safety is at risk when you are drunk.
The reality of young people just as easily becoming the victim of crime as opposed to being the perpetrator.
/ Sexual health messages - how young people are more likely to
indulge in risky sexual health practice when under the influence of
alcohol, leading to increased risk of pregnancy and sexually
  transmitted infections.

“Excellent idea to have the video clips of factual information, this gave even greater depth and meaning to the performance.”
