Safeguarding drama based training for Home Group
Overview
Home Group are one of the largest providers of high quality housing and supported housing services in the UK. Gibber were chosen to develop and deliver interactive, safeguarding drama based training for their front-line staff.
Solution
Live dramatic scenarios, facilitated discussion and filmed case studies reinforced the safeguarding process. Furthermore, it highlighted what to do in an adult or child safeguarding issue or situation. The relaxed but challenging format allowed colleagues to chat to each other about sensitive issues. As well as help them to fully understand the need for following procedure. Through the live scenarios employees could practice different approaches and experience behaviours that would benefit them in the work place.
In conclusion, the events explored safeguarding policy, reporting procedures and best practice. Additionally, they highlighted the need to work together and employ common process to enable positive outcomes for adults and children.
