Schools Career Presentation
Be Social. Be Smart in Brisbane approached us to work with them to develop and deliver a schools career presentation. The aim is to engage year 11/12 students and inform them about how using social media can positively impact on their future careers.
Taking the research, key themes and objectives we put together a script. The script uses a mixture of humour, video, visualisation, interaction and real stories to engage and inspire young adult students.
Senior students are moving from childhood, where it is important to keep social media private and share content only with trusted friends and family, to the adult world where it can be highly beneficial to build and maintain a positive public profile online. ‘Making Social Media Work for Work’ helps to make sense of this transition. It informs senior secondary students in Australian schools what needs to remain private and what kind of things are useful to post in the public domain.
“It was immediately evident that Gibber had vast experience, exciting ideas and a collaborative approach. Gibber presented it in a way that helps students engage with the content and includes plenty of interactivity and humour. We are excited to continue collaborating with Gibber to deliver important messages about positive use of social media to Australian students in 2016 and beyond.”
