Important conversations.
Powerful theatre.
Real impact.
Students leave Call It Out with a clearer understanding of consent, stronger respect for personal boundaries and practical strategies for responding to disrespectful behaviour as active bystanders, friends and peers. Through relatable stories and audience participation, they build the knowledge, confidence and critical-thinking skills to challenge harmful attitudes and help create safer, more respectful communities.
A dynamic 60-minute live theatre experience and interactive workshop for Years 9–11, helping students recognise consent, communicate respectfully and navigate social pressures online and offline.
“I would recommend Call It Out to other schools. It was amazing, relevant, thought provoking, challenging, targeted and important.”
Teacher, Dulwich High School of Visual Arts and Design – NSW

What Call It Out covers
Blending live interactive theatre, humour and multimedia, Call It Out follows three relatable teenagers as they navigate friendships, attraction, online pressures, toxic masculinity and the complexities of consent. As the characters face everyday situations and difficult decisions, students explore what consent looks like in practice, how personal boundaries can be communicated and respected, and how social influences can shape attitudes and behaviour.
The performance encourages students to think critically about messages from peers, social media, pornography and broader gender expectations. Through guided discussion and interactive activities, students learn to identify coercion, recognise disrespectful behaviour, understand their rights and responsibilities, and develop confidence to take positive action when they see harm occurring.
Rather than simply defining consent, Call It Out helps students apply these concepts to real-life situations, build healthier relationships and contribute to a culture of respect.
Five key themes
Understanding Consent – Students learn what affirmative consent looks and sounds like in real-life situations, including how to ask for, give, recognise and respect informed consent.
Challenging Power – Students examine how gender stereotypes, social expectations, peer pressure and power imbalances can influence behaviour, relationships and decision-making.
Building Respect – Students explore empathy, communication, equality and mutual respect, developing skills to build healthy relationships and maintain personal boundaries.
Exploring Online Influence – Students think critically about the impact of social media, pornography, algorithms and online culture on attitudes, expectations and behaviour.
Empowering Action – Students develop confidence to challenge disrespectful behaviour, support others, respond safely as active bystanders and contribute to positive cultural change.
How the program is delivered
Call It Out combines professional live theatre, multimedia and guided audience participation. Authentic storytelling captures students’ attention, while relatable situations and facilitated discussion help them reflect on their attitudes, ask questions and apply the learning to everyday decisions. Together, the performance and workshop take students beyond awareness to understanding, reflection and action.
